It Only Took One Start to Prove Chris Sale is a Better Investment Than Price

It Only Took One Start to Prove Chris Sale is a Better Investment Than Price

I’m going to describe 2 Red Sox pitchers. I’ll keep the names anonymous to clear out all the bias. These are just simple facts to compare players on our roster and their value to the team.

Player 1 – 7 years on the books for 217 million dollars (in year 2), a broken elbow, 0 playoff wins, unpopular with fans, kind of a pussy, 31 years old

Player 2 – jersey ripping psychopath, 5 year deal for 32 million dollars (in year 3), durable, passionate, competitive, fan favorite, 0 runs allowed with the team, 28 years old

That’s right folks. The Red sox finally got a lefty ace to match Porcello’s dominance. Price may thrive as the number 3 guy if he can stay on the fucking mound, but paying 217 mil for a #3 starter is preposterously stupid. Dumbass Dombrowski may have finally made a good move even if he threw away every last prospect we had in the minors, and now we are officially in World Series or bust mode. Let’s go Red Sox!
